Pattern is back!
Distinctive surface pattern - a mainstay of international luxury design for decades - is currently enjoying a resurgence in the US market.
This is particularly true for interiors, where the design narrative has shifted away from stark minimalism towards more individualized, expressive spaces.
I could not be happier about this development!

It all starts with the art
Great pattern - as with great design - is rooted in time-honored motifs and deliberate compositions that tap into our collective subconscious. It can accent a mood, make its own statement, or completely transform a space.
This kind of design magic requires work. There is remarkable rigor to the creative process for high-end pattern - one that emphasizes hand-done artwork inspired by a deep dive into the conceptual theme at hand, along with meticulous attention to all of the details.
When designed to these standards, surface pattern can go a long way towards expressing any product assortment’s seasonal concept, while strongly supporting the company’s over-arching brand identity.
I believe in the timeless appeal of refined print and pattern.
In 2024-2025 I spent a research sabbatical year in Paris, which included a Textile Design certificate program focused on Surface Pattern. I have since re-dedicated myself to collaborating wherever possible on textiles and wall coverings that feature pattern - in addition to creating my own designs.
